OH! the bee yard.   When  Dave, Jerry & I captured this swarm in the pine tree to the left of the bee yard yesterday, and we put the naughty girls in a swarm box underneath an empty hive box with frames & honey in it. The naughty girls decided this abode was not up to their standards, and took off up into another tree. Jerry & I made another split of the middle hive that was also preparing to swarm. We caught them just in time. We also took some frames of brood from the super strong hive & placed those into the weakest hive to boost that colony. On saturday I put out 3 swarm boxes for the girls, but they stayed in the tree all night.
